International Folklore Festival of Anápolis
Every year, in the
central state of Brazil, Goiás, the city of Anápolis and the CIOFF
Council organize a folk festival to provide positive interaction
among people from different cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and
religious beliefs in order to promote the peace among the people.
Festival runs from Wednesday, August 8th to Thursday, August 16th.
Festival's program includes: Festival Night Opening and Closing,
concerts, street parades, cultural animation for communities
and workshops.

Tour to Corcovado (Christ Statue), located in the Tijuca Forest
National Park, the largest urban forest in the world. "It must
rank as one of the most iconic sights in the world, the statue of
Christ the Redeemer standing proudly atop Mount Corcovado, arms
outstretched, gazing out over the sprawl of Rio de Janeiro below.
The views from the top of the peak are sublime, one of the planet’s
most amazing cities glittering at your feet. "

Sugar Loaf tour, driving by downtown Rio, with its fine
colonial-style Portuguese buildings, and continuing on to the cable
car at Prai Vermelha (red beach). A ride to the top of Sugar Loaf
Mountain gives the visitor a wonderful view of the city nestling
between the mountains and the sea, and the sight of the sun going
down over Copacabana beach is magical. Visit Downtown
Rio, Metropolitan Cathedral and Copacabana
Beach.

Tour to Maracana Stadium - one of the largest football
stadiums in the world. Owned by the Rio de Janeiro State Government,
it is named after the Maracanã neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. It
was opened in 1950 to host the FIFA World Cup. Since then, it has
mainly been used for football matches between the biggest football
clubs in Rio de Janeiro, including Flamengo, Botafogo, Fluminense
and sometimes the Vasco da Gama. It has also hosted a number of
concerts and other sporting events. Although the paid attendance for
the 1950 FIFA World Cup final was 173,000, the stadium currently
seats 95,000 spectators

Germans, the city keeps the memory of the nation's first monarch,
Emperor Dom Pedro I, alive and well through its architectural
heritage and charm ( Imperial Museum, pink Neoclassical palace,
Neogothic Cathedral, Crystal Palace)
